If you search through Frontend.php and find

if (substr($url, -4) == ".mp3" && function_exists('ap_insert_player_widgets')) {

and change it to

if (substr($url, -4) == ".mp3") {

then install this plugin http://mediaelementjs.com/#plugins
Good sermon too if you've got time. Worth listening to I think.

I am very interested in this and have got the player working on my new church web site HOWEVER the suggested code changes do not do anything about the miniplayer in the widget.

How do I get the widget to use this player as well instead of the flash mini-player?

(I would have loved to change that miniplayer to the fullplayer even without the HTML5 player)

My sermon page is here: http://silvervalleycommunitych.....m/sermons/

The mini player is in the footer area, 3rd column list of recent sermons.

Thanks for your help!!!

Native support for this would be great so it works out of the box with mediaelement.js

There's an easier way round this for everyone's reference. Simply install mediaelement.js, deactivate other audio players and use

[mejsaudio src=%SERMONURL%]  <A HREF="%SERMONURL%">Download </A>  as the mp3 shortcode.

This shortcode avoids conflicts with other plugins and adds a download link after the mp3 player. Works a treat and you can see our version at http://www.passionforgod.org.uk/sermons
