SB only plays one mp3 file

On our church website (http://www.capelyffynnon.org) whenever you click on a sermon in Sermon Browser it only plays one particular mp3 file 20140518b out of some 300 sermons. If I click on the sermon for last Sunday morning for example it plays the 20140518b file rather than the 20140922b file that's set up in SB. It's also true of files set up before 18/5/2014.

It's running on WordPress 3.9.2 and Sermon Browser 0.45.12.

Any suggestions would be gratefully recieved. Thanks.

First, I see that you are still using the old Audio Player plugin.  Since you are using a recent version of WordPress, this is no longer necessary, and can cause problems.  To do this, deactivate the Audio Player plugin.  Then go to Sermons, Options, and change the "MP3 shortcode" box to this:

(left-square-bracket)audio mp3="%SERMONURL%"(right-square-bracket)

Note: The square bracket characters [ ] were omitted above to prevent conflicts here on the forum.  Use the actual square bracket characters on your keyboard.

Save the settings, then post back here, and I'll try to take another look.

Thanks Ben. I've deactivated the old Audio Player and copy and pasted

(left-square-bracket)audio mp3="%SERMONURL%"(right-square-bracket) into "MP3 shortcode" box in Sermons, Options.

The audio player button is now not available to press to test the sermons. To check, go to Pregethau on the main page and a page with linked titles of sermons will open. At the moment I'm not seeing audio player controls for me to clic on.

Thanks

Rhos,

Your site is acting like you don't have any sermon audio attached to any sermon after November 17, 2013.  Take a look at your 2013 sermons:

http://www.capelyffynnon.org/?.....2013-12-31

Let's see if we can figure out why this is.

In your WordPress admin panel, go to Sermons, Sermons, and click on Edit for your most recent sermon (28 September 2014).  Do you have anything listed under "Attachments"?  What do you see there?

The left hand dropdown menu is Chose present file* and the right hand menu is empty.

*I'm translating it back to English - these may not be the exact wording in the original.

If the right hand box under "Attachments" is empty, it means that you don't have an audio file attached to that sermon.

Looking at your server's Sermon upload folder, I see that you have lots of files uploaded for 2014, but it looks like none of them are attached to sermons in Sermon Browser.

I'd like you to now go to Sermons, Files.  There is an area called "Unlinked Files".  Do you see anything listed there?  Specifically, we are looking for a file named "2014-09-28b.mp3".  If you don't see it there, look in the list under "Linked Files".  Do you see the file there?

There are a number of older files in both categories. Unfortunately, the 'Next' link does no work on either, showing a javascript:fetchU(10) message in the bottom left hand of the screen when clicking on it. Any ideas on what's wrong here?  I could do with some housekeeping here to allocate the unlinked files to sermons.

In the meantime, I've used Sermons, Sermons, Edit to access the mp3 files and link them to sermons using the dropdown menu Present file at the bottom of the page. It's a bit tedious going over the year's worth of sermons but it appears to be working. I'm getting an audio player, sound and the relevant sermon according to the title and topic - fantastic!
