I was working on my church's website behind the scenes on a new host with just a test URL. When we launched the website, we pointed the domain name to the new Wordpress website that I just created on the new server. I changed in Wordpress the URL and also used a search and replace plugin to replace all the old links that were created with the testing URL. I just realized, however, that the podcast feed URL did not change over to the real domain name. It still has the testing URL there. How do I change this without messing something up? It looks like I can manually change the public podcast feed, but the private podcast feed is grayed out. Any insight would be great.
Thanks!!

Mindy, would you post a link to the site, so we can take a look at it?

I just realized that you had responded to this, Ben. My apologies for taking so long to reply with the link. Here is the link: http://livingproofbc.org/
Also, how do we remove the podcast in the itunes store or edit it so that the new URL/podcast feed is reflected?

Mindy, in your WordPress admin panel, go to Settings, General. What do you have for "WordPress Address" and "Site Address"?
Let's get the new feed working correctly first, then we'll talk about how to change the iTunes feed address. Are you currently adding sermons to both your old and new sites, so that the new sermons are in the feed?

Hi Ben, this is the same URL for both:http://livingproofbc.org
However, the
public podcast feed says "http://livingproof.ipower.com/church-life/sermons/?podcast"
And the private podcast feed is:
http://livingproofbc.org/churc.....s/?podcast
Excuse the weird line breaks here. Not sure why my typing is off. The url of http://livingproof.ipower.com/ is what we used as a testing server until the website went live. If you need anything else, let me know.

Mindy, I guess I misunderstood from your first post. Are you saying that the Private podcast feed is correct, but the public podcast feed has your old address? If that's the case, just change your public podcast feed setting to match your private podcast feed setting.
Make that change, then post back here and I'll take another look.

Hi Ben, sorry if my posts were confusing.
The public podcast of "http://livingproof.ipower.com/church-life/sermons/?podcast" was not correct.
I actually thought up until just now that the private podcast feed was off too until you pointed that out
I just changed the public feed to match the private one.
I guess now the problem is with the itunes thing. On the old non-Wordpress website the sermons were set up in a different way/had a different feed URL.

Hi Ben, my church's administrator is the one who has been uploading the sermons. I don't see how he would even be able to add them to the old feed URL as that was only up for a couple months and I thought no longer in existence. My guess is that somehow the old temp URL is still being pointed to the new site. Actually, I just checked and that URL is still pointing to the new site. So, he is uploading them to the new feed and at the same time the old feed is being updated since both URLS are pointing to the same site. It's probably not a good idea to have both up there, correct?
Before we had the livingproof.ipower.com temp site setup, the administrator was manually adding sermons in the old non-Wordpress site and this is where the itunes was pulling from. But that hosting account is no longer live since we pointed the domain name to the new WP site I created, so the folder or whatever he was using does not exist on the new server.

I can't find your podcast in the iTunes store. Do you have a URL that points to your podcast in the iTunes store?

Hmm...it must not be up there anymore. One of our church members noticed that the itunes thing was linking to the old site/no longer valid, so he sent in a request to Apple to remove it. Usually those things take a while to take effect, so I was assuming it would still be there. So, I guess we are starting from scratch with the itunes store then. Can you direct me to where the instructions are for submitting the new feed to the itunes store? I know things about Wordpress and some other web development, but when it comes to itunes, I am illiterate.

Sorry, I've never submitted a feed to the iTunes store. I'm sure a Google search will tell you how to do it.

One of our friends from church knows more about itunes and has tried to submit the podcast there, but seems to be getting an error message saying that these two things need to be fixed before they can process it:
The podcast cover art is at least 600X600 either JPG or PNG and the server needs to allow HTTP head requests
Do you know whether the plugin does this or is this something I have to look into?
