I made the changes to Sermon Browser plugin to correct the display problem. I'm still running WordPress 3.4.2. I would like to update WP to the current 3.5.1. But I'm concerned that this will re-introduce the sermon display error. Can I safely go ahead and upgrade to 3.5.1 without problems with the plugin?

If you've made these changes to your Sermon Browser plugin and it is currently working on your site in WordPress 3.4, you shouldn't have any trouble updating WordPress to 3.5.1. When you update the WordPress core, it doesn't touch your plugin files, so it shouldn't overwrite your changes. If you do have trouble with your site after you update WordPress, start a new topic here in the forum and I'll try to help.

I have tried the code changes to frontend.php and sermons.php and they DO NOT work.
When I look at the URL that NEXT PAGE is pointing to, it is /?pagenum=2 . however, it simply redirects me to the same page each time.
Same thing happens when I try to go to an individual Sermon page

You have a redirect rule that is causing you to lose your query string. When you click on any of the links on your sermons page, for example your most recent sermon:
Your site is sending a 301 "moved permanently" redirect back to the main sermon page:
This could be done by a plugin that you have (not Sermon Browser) or it could be done by a rule in your .htaccess file.
If you are having trouble finding it, please post a list of the names of all the plugins that you have activated on your site, so I can take a look and see if I can help you figure out which one might be causing the problem.
