File uploading but not showing up

I have attempted to upload my sermon audio multiple times.  Each time I attempt to upload my sermon audio,  it will show that the file is uploading and upon completion of the upload the page will reload and the file will not show up.  I have attempted the uploade with the same results using Google Chrome and Internet Explore and from a different computer.  I have also uninstalled and re installed Sermon Browser with no effect.  I have also tried another web site I am running and had the same results there.

The Sermon Browser upload feature is not entirely reliable; there are lots of things that will make it fail.  Usually, the cause is your server settings limiting the size of the file that you can upload.  To test, try uploading a small MP3 file (one song, perhaps) and see if that succeeds.

In the main plugin FAQ, there are some suggested settings for your php.ini file; however, depending on your web host, it may or may not be possible to make these changes yourself.  Read this topic for some more discussion about changing these settings.

There are a couple of different workarounds, if you are unable to change these settings.  The first is to use FTP to transfer your MP3 files to your server.  The files can be as big as you want.  You would put them in your "wp-content/uploads/sermons/" folder (or whichever folder you have selected as the "Upload folder" in Sermons, Options).  After you put the files there, you will see them at Sermons, Files, and you can create a sermon based on that file from there.

A second workaround is to try to use the WordPress Media uploader, which can sometimes work even if Sermon Browser fails (WordPress has some tricks up its sleeve to bypass some server restrictions).  Go to Media, Add New, and try to upload one of your sermon files.  If it succeeds, find the direct link to the media file.  Add a sermon (Sermons, Add Sermon).  In the Attachment section at the bottom of the Edit Sermon screen, Choose "Enter an URL:" and paste in the direct link to the MP3 file.

If you have any questions about any of this, please let me know.
