Contributing bugfixes to SermonBrowser

We use SermonBrowser at my church, and, as has been covered at this forum recently, there seem to be a couple of bugs related to specific versions of WordPress/PHP which are causing people some headaches. As a developer, I'd be happy to do some bug-squashing as I run into bugs -- how would I best go about doing this?

Aside: I'm not sure what license SermonBrowser is released under (a very cursory look didn't bring much up), so I'm not sure whether its license perhaps could be changed so that it could be worked on as an OSS project..? If it's licensed under MPL or GPL or a permissive CC license, I'm happy to set up a repo on, say, GitHub -- with Mark's blessing of course!
