I love your Sermons plugin and we have used it without any trouble on our church site over the past year, but recently we upgraded the audio player to WordPress Audio Player 2.0 and now the audio player no longer appears in the sermon listing like it used to.

I've seen other posts here saying others have been able to upgrade without any problem, but my player no longer appears in the posts and instead I just get the "Download" text link.

Can you offer any advice on this?

Here is a link to our current sermon:

Thank you very much!

After reading further in your forum, I found out where to find the older version of the WordPress Audio Player v 1.2.3 and manually reinstalled it, so now the player is working again if you visit my site, but I'm still stumped as to why my upgrade to 2.0 caused it to fail.

Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated.

I looked at your site, and it looks like your theme is missing the footer call. To fix this, in your theme's footer.php, look for the closing body tag, and add the wp_footer() line right above it. So your footer.php should have the following lines:

<?php wp_footer(); ?>
</body>

If you need more information, you can find it here on the Audio Player website.

Let us know if that worked for you, or if you need any more help with this.

Charles, did you upgrade via the the Wordpress dashboard? If you did, and you were upgrading from 1.xx to 2.xx, the upgrade process doesn't work. You have to deactivate the plugin, delete the directory AND the file audioplayer.php (which did not reside in the audio player directory). Unzip the Audio Player folder, FTP that to your plugins directory, and reactivate it.
