Strange Issue With Wordpress AdminBar Plugin

Hi Mark,

This issue has been around with the last few releases of sermon-browser, but I thought I'd bring it to your attention.

I use the wordpress-admin-bar plugin (http://www.viper007bond.com/wo…..admin-bar/) v3.14 (latest version) – which is supposed to mimic the dashboard left sidebar as a top bar. It works well for all plugins I have (lots!) and for *most* of sermon browser.

However the top item ("Sermon") under the "Sermon" title points to:

…../wp-admin/sermon-browser/sermon.php

rather than to

…./wp-admin/admin.php?page=sermon-browser/sermon.php

ALL the other items in the menu (supposed to be a copy of the admin sidebar) work correctly and point to the correct page complete with query string.

Is the option code for that top item coded differently from the other menu items?

Just to clarify – on the dashboard sidebar it works fine – it's just an unusual thing about admin bar for that sole item.  NB the *heading* "Sermon" in admin bar points correctly – it's just that first item. Very strange!

Not a show-stopper, but if you have a suggestion it would be appreciated!

Thanks

I suspect this is a problem with your admin bar plugin, as my code follows Wordpress' recommendation here. But on line 357 of sermon.php (assuming you have 0.41.2) try replacing the second __FILE__ with 'sermon-browser/sermon.php' and see what happens.

Hi Mark,

Thanks for the quick reply – it sound like it should do the trick, but I made the change and refreshed and there was no difference.

So I deactivated WP-AdminBar and then Sermon-browser and refreshed my browser and the reactivated SB and then WPAB and re-refreshed.

Still no difference…

A very strange one!

If you have any further thoughts please let me know.

I'm not 100% convinced it's an issue with Admin bar either as all my many other plugins work brilliantly (including the ones which I have authored which – I believe – also follow Wordpress' recommendation). Indeed all the other menu lines of Sermon-Browser work fine too. An interesting one…….

Every blessing.
