OfflineI upload all our sermons to our website with a FTP client and then go in and create the sermon entry in to the DB. Because I've already uploaded the sermon, we use the "Existing URL" option to attach the sermon db entry to the actual file.
Nearly all our files do not have any stats…
The problem that I've discovered is that some of our file names have spaces. So when entering the URLs into sermon browser we copy/paste the URL and a %20 entry gets placed into the url instead of the space character. When ever we have a %20, the stats never update.
I've also noticed that sometimes instead of a \ (backslash) character that a %2F will be displayed in the URL, this also will keep the status from being updated.
For us this this is just a problem with how we copy the URL from one location to another that converts to the %20 or %2F character.
In the future…
I will use underscores instead of spaces in the filename, that will fix the %20 issue.
I will also replace any %2F chars with the \ char.
Not sure if this is something that can be addressed in the future, but I figured I would at least put the information out there, just incase someone else was fighting the same problem.
