OfflineHi Support,
First off, as everyone else has said, this plugin is simply fantastic. Me (and my clients) have LOVED working with it. It is so easy to use and provides a clean, easily understandable and feature-rich product. Thanks so much for your efforts in providing the Wordpress world with something really valuable.
I have tried and tried and tried to get my iTunes podcast links to work, but to no avail. I have sifted through these forums for quite a while trying to find a similar problem, but I haven't been able to dig up anything.
Site: http://kingdomlifeministries.cc
Sermons page: http://kingdomlifeministries.c…..page_id=40
When you click the iTunes link, the podcast opens in iTunes, but the sermons won't download. The little [i] icon shows up next to the sermon, and when you click it the following message shows up – "There was a problem downloading . The network connection could not be made."
I have changed the directory for stored sermons from the default to "audio/", and I do not and can not enable permalinks. There are multiple Wordpress installations hosted in subfolders of the site's main directory, and it causes some real chaos when permalinks are turned on.
Any help you can provide would be appreciated. I would have included screen caps of the settings page, but I don't see anywhere to upload images to the forum (probably for obvious reasons).
Thanks again,
Taylor Jones

OfflineSorry, I'm retracting my entire wild-guess of a post. I thought I had discovered something, but now I can't seem to repeat my results. If I find anything new out, I'll let you know.

OfflineHi Taylor,
I'm having the exact same problem.
Downloading individual sermon files is fine,
But iTunes is exactly like you describe with exact same error messages.
I have yet to try to "other" podcast
my site is http://www.newcastlechristians…..udents.org
and the sermon browser page is here

OfflineSteve – Still haven't been able to make any headway on this one. This is such a great product – I just wish I could make this work!
Do you have permalinks configured on your site? I have included a link below to a screen cap of my configuration settings for the Plugin – would you mind comparing mine to yours and listing any differences?

OfflineI was experiencing I think a similar problem with iTunes. A sermon would show up in itunes but then would get the little ! when tried to download.
I found that I could get them to work if when I added the sermon I used under "Attachments" – "Enter an URL" and put the full url to the location of the sermon, e.g. "http://www.mychurch….sermon.mp3"
I would get the error whenever I used the "Use Existing File"
Don't know if that is your issue or not.

Heya.
Same issue as Talyor, it breaks the streaming on the site…
Streaming on the site seems to work for me with either method of attaching the sermon file (URL or existing file). Both also seem to work when subscribing with an RSS reader. It is only when attaching files with the "existing file" option that the iTunes subscriptions quit working.

OfflineSteve, my theory right now is that iTunes is having trouble with all of the special characters in the filenames of your .mp3 files. Here is what I suggest:
Try adding a new sermon, and make sure the filename only has letters, numbers, dashes "-" and underscores "_". No spaces, commas, parentheses, periods (except for the one before "mp3", or any other special characters. Then we'll see if iTunes can download that one.
Please let us know how it turns out.

My filename structure is simply the service date in international format, and I was experiencing the same problem. But I *think* I may have figured out the issue for my site at least. The default upload folder path is a relative path and does not have a leading slash. I inserted a leading slash, then deleted and resubscribed to the feed and it seems to have fixed the problem, at least for my installation. I hope it'll work for others as well.
Cheers,
JD
