I'm not sure if any of you have experienced this, but I recently noticed that I only have about 2/3 of my podcast episodes available via feed (iTunes and others).

Any suggestions?

Ethan,
The podcast feed only contains the newest 16 sermons. Older sermons won't appear in the feed. iTunes or whatever RSS reader you are using saves the old ones for you, so that you can see sermons going all the way back to when you first subscribed, but if someone subscribes today, they won't get anything older than 16 sermons ago.

Generally, this is okay: you subscribe to get notification of the new sermons. The old sermons are available on your website. But it is possible to increase the number of sermons included in the feed, if you wish. However, you don't want to make it too big: this will just slow down your feed, and overwhelm any new subscribers, possibly having them download a bunch of sermons that they won't ever listen to.

Here's how I think you change the number of sermons included in the feed. (Disclaimer: I haven't tried this myself, so it is at your own risk. Lots of testing is advised!)

In podcast.php, line 129, you'll find this line:

if ($mp3count > 15)

The number in there is one less than the number of sermons that will be included in the feed. So to increase it to contain the last 20 sermons, change it to:

if ($mp3count > 19)

I think that's it. If you try it, and it works (or it doesn't), let us know!

Wow, Ben, well done! It worked like a dream. I changed it to 40 episodes. Cheers!

I found it. I have added the itunes:image href coding. Hopefully, it will work.
