OfflineI'm surprised the error has not shown up, which makes it very difficult to work out the problem.
For the next version (0.43.2) I've added some code that checks to see if there's a problem working out whether an upgrade is required. It also checks much less often. This should stop any repeats of these problems, but as I'm still not sure what caused the last problem I can't guarantee it.
So, before you upgrade, I suggest a backup might be in order.
