Adding a sermon today and first thing that started weird was this message:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v187/savrip/KSWCC/Misc/2011-05-15_165441.png

So I went to Files and created an entry through that method. So it created the entry:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v187/savrip/KSWCC/Misc/2011-05-15_165335.png

I know it's in the DB, but it won't show on the site or on the sermon listing. Any ideas on where to head from here?

…but on the Sermons page it doesn't show:
" alt="" />

Sorry the forum software is playing up. Sorry too for the bug. I released 0.45.1 a few hours ago. If it's not showing up in your site, you can download it manually from http://downloads.wordpress.org…..rowser.zip

Hopefully that version will prevent the problem re-occurring, but it might not make the mysterious sermon re-accessible. I'd suggest deleting the file you've uploaded, and then re-creating the sermon in version 0.45.1.

I just tried the new version, and it didn't work for me. http://www.sermonbrowser.com/wp-content/simple-press-data/forum-smileys/sf-confused.gif

Sorry Mark, I'm getting the same thing. You should have seen my Pastor tonight. He was going to show off the latest sermon to someone while I was at the PC and he says "Hey where's this morning's sermon!" At least you can have a good feeling that your work is appreciated by those on the user side that just think stuff happens when you want it to.

I'm seeing today's http://midcov.org/sermons?sermon_id=70. Was it a different sermon that failed?

If you or someone else can send me an email or private message with log-in details for your site, I can take a look. It would also help to know to have the details of a sermon that failed to add, so I can try to add the same sermon as you.

I, too, am not able to view ANY of my 261 sermons since upgrading to the new version of Sermon Browser earlier this afternoon. The odd thing, though, is that I put our Sunday School sermons under a separate heading, (but I create them the exact same way as the other sermons), and they are still visible…even the one from today that I did at the same time as today's other two sermons. I tried to add a Sunday School sermon to my 'Sermons' heading, but it doesn't show up, and I tried to add a regular sermon to my 'Sunday School Lessons' heading, but it doesn't show up. The only difference between my 'Sermon' heading and my 'Sunday School Lessons' heading is that I use "sermons" in my 'Sermon' heading, and "sermons service=6" in my 'Sunday School Lessons' heading to only display the Sunday School Lesson series.

Just an FYI….immediately after upgrading to the new version of Sermon Browser this afternoon, I couldn't even access my admin page on WordPress. I had a white screen with the "error on line 816" message. I read advice from others and changed from PHP4 to PHP5, which then allowed me to view admin….but not my sermons. http://www.sermonbrowser.com/wp-content/simple-press-data/forum-smileys/sf-frown.gif

PLEASE help!!!!!

Anyone who is experiencing this problem: Please send me log-in details to your site, and I'll look at it ASAP. The problem is not what that affects my test site, nor my two main SermonBrower sites, so I don't yet understand the problem.

I had log-in details from savrip, and saw the problem there. (Basically the new sermons you've tried to add had entered the database incorrectly, and therefore not displaying.) I've fixed it on his machine, but will need to release a patched version that will correct the database for other users that are affected. I'll try to do that within 24 hours. Meanwhile, if anyone else wants me to fix it directly on their local machine, I'm still happy to do so – indeed it would be helpful to take a look at another machine to ensure the problem is the same as savrip's.

Thank you Mark. I wasn't in a rush to have a fix, but I'm glad you were able to find the problem. I understand it's a free plugin and you do your best to get issues resolved, so I'm not going to expect some unrealistic response time. I appreciate the fix.

I have lfaithb back up and running now. Their problem was entirely different to savrip's, which is very confusing. If there's anyone else still struggling, I'd be grateful for log-in details to investigate, so I can try to determine the underlying cause.

I am having the "You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page." error on our site with SB 0.45.2

To where should I send log-in details?

Thanks, Mike

I received the "no permissions" page again, and stopped so I don't create additional DB entries. Anyone else have this? I did upgrade to the current version a few days ago.

I'm just beginning to set up a site and when I try to add sermons, I'm getting "You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page." when selecting a sermon from the drop down list. I'm using version 0.45. Is there a fix for this?

I am having the "You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page." error on our site with SB 0.45.4. When I went to the Files page instead of the Add Sermon page I could select my file and add it fine without the error. Hope this workaround helps others and provides a clue to fix the bug.

Thanks for this work-around. This one didn't work for me last time this happened to me so I didn't want to create additional DB entries on failed attempts. Sermon added.

North Hills workaround worked for me.

I have noticed that the url you go to when you use the Add Sermons "Choose Existing File" select box has an encoding problem.

I've tried to find the encoding problem in the code, but no luck.

Here's the URL: http://localhost:8080/wp_3rbc/…..getid3=296

Notice the "/" changes to a "%2F"

This doesn't happen if I do the "Files" Create Sermon workaround.

Fix:

Line 2520 in admin.php has the following:

<form method="get" action="<?php echo admin_url();?>">

Needs changed to:

<form method="get" action="<?php echo admin_url('admin.php?page=sermon-browser/new_sermon.php');?>">

Works for me now.

Is it likely that I will encounter this problem if I do my upgrade now from .45.2 to the current version? If so is the best fix what ccoppen suggests above? Replacing the code in admin.php?

I encountered the error in version .46 when I upgraded from .45, so, yes, the best fix is above.

I put the correct line number on the post for the .46 beta since the line numbers are different.

Unless he's fixed it.

I haven't had any problems since I put the fix in.
