I am having trouble with it and just can't get it working. For some reason I just can't get it coming up. I can not get the player coming up. cry

I have installed 1 pixelout audio player to use with it but it just refuses to come up.

I would really appreciate help here.

Here are some previous forum topics for you to look at:
1st Topic
2nd Topic

Essentially, you want to install the 2.0beta6 version of the 1pixelout player instead of the one that is available on the Wordpress site. You can download it here:
http://wpaudioplayer.com/
The 1.2.3 version from the Wordpress site does not install correctly. See the 2nd forum topic link above for more information.

Please let us know if you are still having trouble.

Okay that seemed to get it working. The issue that I now have is that for some reason on this page:

http://www.howrahcofc.org.au/?…..ermon_id=3

Next to the title I am getting this () How can I get rid of this?

Also on this page:

http://www.howrahcofc.org.au/?…..age_id=101

It sits right down the bottom instead of up the top. How can I adjust this?

Also for some reason there is a second player but it comes up with no file found. Any suggestions on this?

Thanks for the help so far.

Easy question first: If your sermon has a scripture text defined for it, the parentheses () contains the reference. See a recent sermon at my church as an example:
http://www.pathwayschurch.us/p…..rmon_id=45

Unfortunately, if there is no scripture text defined, the () still show. Mark Barnes, perhaps this could be changed in a future version?

About your layout issues: I see the problem, but I don't immediately see what the solution is. Sorry! Most likely, it is a css conflict between your theme's style sheet and your sermon browser style template. If I figure it out, I'll post more. Here is a hint for you, while you are troubleshooting: The page looks much better in Internet Explorer 8 than it does in Firefox 3.5. Good luck!

Finally, I recommend that you turn on permalinks for your site. It makes your site look nicer (in my opinion) and can fix some problems (although I don't think it will fix the problem your seeing currently). Turning on permalinks will change your sermon link from /?page_id=101 to /sermons/.

To turn on permalinks:
Under Wordpress Settings, choose "Permalinks", then select "Day and Name", "Month and Name" (my personal favorite), or "Numeric".

And for some reason now my file has disappeared.

About the "file not found" in the player: It looks like there is a problem with the .mp3 file you uploaded. You should make sure the file will play on your computer in your favorite media player, then try uploading it again.

Looking at the source of your page, it looks like you are using the html "pre" tag in a few places. I would go to your "sermons" page, remove all the "pre" tags, and see if that improves your layout.

I've removed the "pre" tags will nil difference. I don't know why they were there as I hadn't put them in.

So still no better off with the layout of it.

Someone on another forum though this would fix the issue of the layout:
In the file http://www.howrahcofc.org.au/s…..1260792487, add a rule at the top:

div.sermon-browser {
float: left;
}

Then this from someone else:
The CSS property clear will ensure that any float items are cleared. You need to know when and how to use clear properly.

overflow can achieve similar effects to clear without clearing floats altogether. Just in IE you need to trigger hasLayout if width/height etc isn't specified.

Problem is I can't find the css file referred to but I know it is there somewhere.

That "file" they referred you to is actually the Style template in Sermon Browser. You can edit it in the Wordpress control panel. Go to Sermons, Templates. The third box is labeled Style. You can add your rule to the Style template and click Save at the bottom of the page. I hope that helps.

Cool that fixed it. Thanks for that.

Now if I could just fix up the second player (it doesn't work and isn't required).

About the second player: I believe that the second player is being inserted by the 1PixelOut plugin, not by Sermon Browser.

Question: Under Settings, Audio player, there is a checkbox labeled "Enclosure integration." Is it checked? Try unchecking the box, if it is checked.

(I'm using the 1.2.3 version of the 1PixelOut plugin, but hopefully the settings are the same between my version and the one you are using.)

No it wasn't checked at all.
