Hello to All, I was wondering if I could get some help with customizing how the sermon page looks. By default i used the tag for my sermon page where it displays all the sermons. However I was wondering which template and where do I add customizations such as a spacer or line in between sermons. Right now the sermons are displaying right after each other and its hard to determine or separate the sermons and tell where one ends and the new one begins. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

manusdorsey,

I don't know if you and Rich have it looking the way you want yet, but I recommend that you make both of the changes shown in this topic:

http://www.sermonbrowser.com/f…..mons-page/

The problem is that your WordPress theme, like many themes, does not use a div with id="content" for the content area of your pages.  Removing "#content" from your templates should enable you to get to the default Sermon Browser styling and then make changes from there.

LOL Ben… all I can do is throw stuff against the wall to see if it sticks.  You jumped in right on time.

Once again thanks for all the help guys. I've got it looking just the way I want it to look however I have run across one issue which I don't know if it's a limit of the plugin or if it can be done at all. The issue I have is that I've created a page for sermons (shortcode {sermons})and it shows the sermons results page which it lists perfectly fine. I click on a sermon title and it takes me to the sermon page. That works just as planned. However, I was under the impression that I could also post an individual sermon onto a post. So I use the {sermons id=4} shortcode for example on a post. That post shows that sermon fine however it then breaks the sermon page. The sermon results page {sermons} still shows properly but when I click on a sermon title to take me to the sermon page of that title it always sends me to the sermon post sermon which in this example would be {sermons id=4}. Am I not doing something correctly or is it just not possible to have the sermon in a page as well as a post for individual sermons.

manusdorsey,

You aren't doing anything wrong, but I think there is a bug in the current version of Sermon Browser that breaks all the links whenever there is a filtered shortcode (such as {sermons id=4}) on a page.  I don't use shortcodes in this way on my site, but I've been seeing enough people with this problem on the forum recently to know that it is an issue.  Hopefully sometime soon there will be a bug fix posted to the forum, and eventually a new version of Sermon Browser with this problem fixed.  Until then, I don't recommend that you use filtered shortcodes.
