Is there any way to manually edit stats? I know this is a weird request. But here's what happened…

Most of our sermons have around 60-80 listens. But for some reason one of them shot up over 400 listens! There's no good reason that that particular sermon would be hit that much…it wasn't any sort of special occasion. So it's just throwing off our stats in the dashboard and annoying me.

So I just thought I'd see if there's a way to change the number somehow.

Thanks!

The stats are stored in the WordPress database. If you are familiar with a tool like phpMyAdmin, you should be able to adjust the number. However, I have to mention that editing your database is very dangerous, and you do so at your own risk.

The stats for each sermon are stored in the "_sb_stuff" table. Find the sermon ID of the sermon you want to edit, then change the value in the "count" field.

Sign into the WP dashboard, navigate to sermons, and change (or delete) the link to the mp3 for that sermon, save it, and then change it back again. This should reset the number to zero.

Thanks guys. I ended up deleting the link and then modifying the name of the mp3 file which set the count back to zero.

@Ben Miller- thanks for the phpMyAdmin suggestion. I'm not brave or smart enough to do much in there. But it's cool to hear from someone in Appleton…I used to work at Christ The Rock in Menasha!
