I am currently using the Sermon Browser plugin on the website of a Chinese church. I will need to display the sermon information such as preacher, sermon topic, etc in Chinese. When inputting the characters in the plugin interface, the Chinese characters are displayed as question marks such as ???? rather than as actual Chinese characters. However, Chinese characters are being displayed properly on the other pages on the website. It is only not displaying properly with the Sermon Browser plugin.

Here is a link to the church website: http://gcgcny.org/?page_id=253

Please help! And thank you in advance!

Anyone have any solution to this problem? It had already been over 2 months since this problem occurred and many members of my church would really benefit from the Chinese characters being displayed properly. Please help!!

Sorry, hagemusha, I wish I could help, but I don't really know anything about displaying Chinese characters on webpages. My guess is that the Sermon Browser plugin was not designed to display Chinese characters, and that it would require some changes to the plugin programming code to get it to work.

The Chinese characters used to be displayed properly on the website before I switched web hosting server. I tried contacting the hosting provider but they don't know what the problem is since Chinese characters can be viewed properly on the webpages, but it just doesn't show up with the plugin.

I know this is late, but I just ran across this problem myself. In order to display Chinese characters properly you have to go into the database and change all varchar and text fields for all sermon browser tables. You can do this via phpMyAdmin or some other such app. Change "collation" to "ucs2_general_ci" using the dropdown.

Hope this helps.
