I've noticed many people have had this issue. I can't seem to resolve it. I just set up this plugin along with audio player. All are the latest versions including WP 3. The file will play fine in audio if I just add the

Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. You also need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser.

tag to the page. When I turn on sermon browser the file just get's stuck in buffering mode. I've tried moving the file location, re-naming the file, downsizing the file, and everything else. Even when I deactivate audio player, the file download doesn't work on the sermon browser page. Here is a link with a test file:

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks and God bless!

It looks like the file is playing now, and the download link works. What did you have to do to fix it?

All I did was wait. Last night it didn't work and today it does. I'll try with a few more files, but maybe it has to take time to render the entire file or something like that. The mystery still persists!laugh

I don't know if this will help (it seems there are a number of potential issues that generate the dreaded 'hanging buffering syndrome." But here's what I did…

From your dashboard, go to the Sermons/Options settings screen. Under "Basic Options" look at the Public Podcast Feed. The default value upon installation of the plugin was #?podcast … and that # didn't seem right to me. I removed it.

Presto.

Everything worked again.
I hope this helps…

This problem is caused by the private podcast link in options page not updating to the right link when you add sermon browser in a page; it won`t update because the clock in your wordpress installation is likely not set right.

What happens is sermon browser will compare the time you create a new page to show sermon browser ( wordpress time ) with the current time and if your time is set later then what the current time is it won`t update.

set your time in wordpress and it will work.

Where do I set my time in WP? Do you mean the timezone?

You can set your Wordpress time in the admin panel here:

Changing time zones did not help.
BUT, changing this shortcode /sermons filter=dropdown/ to /sermons/ brought things back.
My layman's conclusion: something's amiss with filter=dropdown option in the new version…
