http://aguynamedjeremy.com/new…..e/audio-2/
There is where it is located.

Im working on switching our site over and I want to switch to sermon browser to do the audio.

I keep getting file not found for my audio player but the download link works fine.

Another problem I'm having is in uploading my sermons I have it set to/newlife/audio but when I go there I dont see any of the audio I've uploaded is there some certain way the url needs to be inputted into that field?

I haven't even gotten to styling this on my page yet because I haven't even been able to get it to work yet. So help please =)

Under Sermons, Options, what do you have for "Upload folder"?

/home/users/web/b1438/moo.guitarjockey/newlife/audio/

That is what it is set to, but when I go to my ftp and go to newlife/audio it isn't there.

Should I set the upload to http://aguynamedjeremy.com/newlife/audio ?

I think I tried that and it told me it was an invalid path or some weird thing like that.

First, try setting Sermons, Options, Upload folder to:
/newlife/wp-content/uploads/sermons/

Then upload an .mp3 file there, and add a new sermon using the file.

Please let us know when you've got that done so we can take another look.

Ok I changed it and Uploaded the sermon and it still isn't working. One thing I've noticed is the download link shows audio-2/? which /audio-2 is the page url I used for sermon browser.

So is there some way to get sermon browser to actually look in the upload folder instead of this, although you look in the designated folder for the uploads using a ftp client and there's no mp3 files there at all so I don't know for sure if that's it.

Currently, it looks like your entire site is down ("Error establishing a database connection"). When it comes back up, I'll take another look at it.

To answer your questions, the download link uses a PHP script to retreive the file. So in your case, the link will look something like: "audio-2/?download&file_name=abc.mp3" The sermon browser script will retrieve the file "abc.mp3" from the sermon folder.

When you upload the sermon, you should be able to find it using your FTP client. The fact that you couldn't find it makes me think that something is messed up with the folder that you are currently using for sermons. That is why I had you change it to something that we know.

When your site comes back up, use FTP to upload the file, not Sermon Browser. Upload it to the /newlife/wp-content/uploads/sermons folder, then go into Sermon Browser and add a new sermon. You should see the file you just uploaded in a drop-down box of files. Let's see if that works.

Yeah I just noticed the issue with my hose also.

I have three wordpress installs on my server and all three are down all at the same time.

So I'm working with my hosting company right now to get things back, I'll update this as soon as the issue is resolved.

Honesly I think I'm gonna switch webhosts when I have some extra cash because this is the 2nd time I've had my database's go down without me doing something to them and it's not the first time I've had to contact support. It gets old fast and it definitely isn't professional when I'm trying to do work on them and they keep going down.

Okay, I found your audio file at:
http://aguynamedjeremy.com/new…..013110.mp3

Did you upload this file to this location using FTP?

Here is what I'd like you to try:
1. Delete the sermon you have on there now. (Sermons, Sermons, Delete.)

2. Go into FTP and make sure your audio file is still there at:
http://aguynamedjeremy.com/new…..013110.mp3

3. Add a new sermon (Sermons, Add Sermon). At the bottom, under Attachments, pick "Choose Existing File," then pick your audio file "013110.mp3". If there aren't any files in the dropdown box, Go into FTP and re-name the file. Then try to add the sermon again with the new name.

4. Post back here and let us know what the results are.

Yeah I used ftp to put that file there.

So I did what you said and it showed the file but was still giving me the file not found error, so I renamed the file in ftp because I had a hunch that something was weird. So I renamed the audio file in ftp went back to sermon browser and sermon browser still is linking to the 013110.mp3. So for some reason it's putting that file somewhere but I have no clue where.

So I'm gonna try a little more searching to see if I can find this file on my server and that might help us a little more.

If you find the other file, it will be interesting to see where it is.

Could you try this? Leave the sermon you've got there on now, but add a new sermon using the audio file you re-named, using the method in my Step 3 from my last post.

Also, could you confirm what exactly you've got under Sermons, Options, Upload folder?

I did a search on my server and that file 013110.mp3 never showed up, so it's not even there so I'm trying to figure this out now it's really weird.

my uploads is set and written as follows; /newlife/wp-content/uploads/sermons

it's there some way I can rewrite the script so instead of doing that weird link thing it will just use the mp3 file instead of the script for the download like it does?

I honestly have no clue what's going on it's so crazy the things it's doing.
